And the multiple author trilogy model is weird Having to switch authors to read book two just to get back to an author I want to read in book three that all takes place in a universe I m not that into means this will likely be the end of this series for me Craig Gallant Overall I thought the story was solid and entertaining I think they tried a little too hard to make sure we know Jesse James is a complex character and not just some mindless thug It ended rather abruptly but I m intrigued enough to read the rest of the trilogy The editing leaves something to be desired though Numerous misspelled words and a few sentences that got jumbled up scattered throughout Craig Gallant A solid first novel by Craig Gallant of D6G fame I really like alt history stuff and this story left me wanting Craig Gallant

In an alternate history twisted through the evil influence of strange mysterious creatures the greatest figures of American history battle for dominance and control of a war torn nation High tech machines and weapons dominate the land as the world changes daily with each new invention Within this clash of giants two lone outlaws Jesse James and William Billy the Kid Bonnie strive for recognition and their share of the glory struggling for their place on the national stage Honor Among Outlaws The Jessie James Archives Being the first novel in a series it must establish the cast of recurring characters and set the stage To that end it does it while lessening the tediousness of that task The action is good the motivations set and the world is fleshed out On to act two Craig Gallant The book had no editing Spelling error s and mambo jumbo made up words that were used to try and give a false sense of Western theme It dragged in many parts and the formatting of the page and font used were a strain on the eyes The story mixed into the mess that was this novel was okay it was not great I could of finished the book or threw it away after chapter 6 did not care was not drawn in I only finished the book because it was a gift and I felt I had to give it a chance for my friend Even the last 3 pages of the book feel like an overly repetitive scene just to fill pages I would not recommend this book to anyone other then the fan base of the game its based on I am truly embarrassed for the author for the publisher and for the miniature game company this crappy book represents it looks like a half assed attempt at writing at best and that gives the impression of not caring enough to put forth a valid effort for the reader or the fans of the game company to want further purchases of their product it s a slap in the face it s so bad I would suggest you pull this book from the for sale rack EDIT IT then re release it with a big sticker in the corner that says NOW WITH EDITING Craig Gallant Solid debut book by Craig Gallant and will definitely follow him as an author and D6G podcast fan I think he did a great job writing this book and I enjoyed his style: Honor Among Outlaws pdf drive Would have loved to rate it higher but the Wild West Exodus universe didn t grab me the publisher really dropped the ball on editing and page layout.
