MJ makes her home in rural Georgia with her husband and one neurotic cat She has two children and two granddaughters Her favorite activities are writing reading and travel Visit MJ at authormjflournoy. com or follow her on Twitter authormjflourno or find her on Facebook as authormjflournoy site_link Many of us have heard voices in our heads For Jolie Wyngate hearing a certain voice inside her head is a daily and nightly occurrence Jolie s special talents lead her into embarrassing and dangerous situations and into the clutches of a former Navy Seal If you thought I d tell you forget it Each page will make you turn another page and another A compelling read 269 As a reader who usually does not read or is fond of the paranormal it was difficult to get through the entire book We are introduced to Jolie Wyngate who has a voice Maniac guiding her through everyday moves Jolie meets a man on the Internet and trying to escape a previous scandal caused by her visions she accepts his offer to stay in his cabin for the summer Once she arrives to the cabin she is kidnapped by Mac Carlson Instantly she is attracted to the abductor instead of experiencing other human normal emotions It turns out Mac kidnapped her wrongfully suspecting she was responsible for a child s kidnapping Yes plot is convoluted Mac and Jolie fall in love Oh and they can communicate telepathicallywe can imagine all the issues that will bring to their relationship Wanted to like the book and characters 269 A Matter of Trust follows psychic Jolie Wyngate a Georgia teacher currently in between jobs All Jolie wants to do is take a vacation down in Florida and forget that she s been fired yet again Could her psychic abilities have anything to do with it Jolie s psychic abilities not only has a disembodied bff by the name of The Maniac in her head but helps her locate missing children That s just what Mac Carlson needs Former Navy SEAL and security expert Mac s client s daughter has been kidnapped and Mac s been framed for the murder of his best friend Evidence leads him to Jolie who he promptly abducts. This book sets up a great cast of characters with fabulous details I want Simon s book so badly I can t stand it The Maniac aka Maggie is a great source of humor breaking the tension at sometimes inappropriate times This is a great first book to a new hopefully series. My one complaint is just a little bit editing Not so much for flow but content Some things should have been italicized and weren t There are some capital letters in the middle of words But the wording is excellent Its merely aesthetics So once you get beyond that you have a great story 269 Jolie Wyngate is about to begin a much needed well earned vacation when Mac Carlson kidnaps her unraveling a much sinister plan than either dreamed of for the summer Although a paranormal romantic suspense featuring a psychic this is not the usual telepath tale Fantastically different and action packed this book had me at Hello The changing point of views actually Read More at review to be published in the May June issue of BTS Magazine All Rights Reserved.
