The presentation of the story in this format is both entertaining and confusing The author leaves it to the reader to stitch these different elements into the story He even BOLDLY hides a clue throughout the tale The problem is that the story doesn t mean stitch together and really doesn t have any conclusion. It is just a short story and probably intended to be an introduction to a series I would have to say that it is an interesting concept but it didn t really work that well for me I doubt I would read another ghostorian case file especially if it was presented in the same way Mike Ricksecker Mr Ricksecker tells us he is a ghostorian What is that.

Ok fair enough So this case file is a story a ghost story of sorts told through means of some journal entries of a mysterious Dr Patrick some journal entries of a bereaved husband writing in 1867 and the case notes of the Ghostorian himself. In digging a grave for the deceased wife the mourners come across a strange tablet age and provenance unknown warning of evil times It says in part We have fallen upon evil times and the world has waxed very old and wicked. Since this is a short story I am not going to tell you any of the plot You will have to read it for yourself But there is a hidden spooky thing there I hope you find it Mike Ricksecker I read The Inscription of Evil Times after having read Mysteries of the Church of Darkness which I absolutely loved Again this book is written as a case file so it is not a regular ghost or scary story I loved it Of course with a case that is over 150 years old with no known survivors of the original families or documents of the incidents it was hard for Mr Ricksecker to completely investigate and close Mr Ricksecker writes in a very technical way but he still manages to draw you in and keep you completely locked in Thank you for another great book I know you definitely have made me a fan Mike Ricksecker
