My thanks to Independent Publishers Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book However the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone English ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review English With the new series Knights of the Castle being released I figured I should get back into reading the few remaining books I have in the Kings of the Castle series This time we are traveling to the Lincoln Park jurisdiction where we meet our allocated King Grant Khambrel Grant is our architect and construction guru of the team anything building or property needs he is your guy As like the other Kings having to go up against bad guys Grant is up against Alderman Knight who is still stewing about the Castle changing hands and his list of preferred vendors being ousted After blackmailing Grant a copy of this book was provided by the authors in exchange for my honest review This does not effect my opinion in any way This was my first experience with the Kings of the Castle series Admittedly I m a total sucker for books that are based in Chicago or NYC Mostly because I know those cities fairly well Chicago is my second home and I know Lincoln Park really well And I rather like knowing these things in my romance reads Also I just love those cities for a setting We re ride or die you know Regardless King of Lincoln Park was already winning based on setting alone It was so promising and I love romance series that are all connected but still can be read as standalones Nothing about this book was what I d expected from it and I m grateful for that. Going into stories blindly can be hit or miss but this one truly benefit from my general cluelessness about the plotline I knew the basics and what I found online obviously but for the most part I was not sure what tone King of Lincoln Park would take Still I hopped on the train to my job interview and read this book partly on trains Yes obviously in Chicago which made it all the fun King of Lincoln Park was intriguing to me first but it was so impressive that I ll definitely be diving into the other books in the series as quickly as possible Martha Kennerson has me hooked Every page of King of Lincoln Park is delectable and indulgent in the best possible ways. The novel should come with a warning that it is an addictive substance because it completely is All I wanted to do was spend my day with Grant and Autumn King of Lincoln Park was just plain fun and dramatic As seductive as it is mysterious and highly paced this book satisfied me immensely English

This was my first time reading a book by this author and it probably won t be my last I enjoyed how she told this tale and weaved some characters from her own previous books Now I ll have to read about the triplets English Yes To The King of Lincoln Park Before there was Grant and Autumn there was Grant and BenjaminUncle Ben Now that s what love looks like A young impressionable 10 year old Grant loses both of his parents and is taken in with no hesitation by his Uncle This same Uncle gives up his love life in order to devote his time and love to this young boy Fast forward to a grown Grant who falls for Autumn and will do everything in order to protect and grow their newfound love and also take care of his sick Uncle As with the other books in this series there s a lot of drama action and a few laughs This is another excellent book in this series I highly recommend this book Kudos Martha English Friendship loyalty love family this story hits on all those themes and English .
