Das wirkte am Ende zu gehetzt Aber ansonsten hat mir das Buch super viel Spa gemacht und ich hatte oft Szenen aus Fluch der Karibik vor Augen 188

Book the pirate raiders pdf
Death immediate Death delayed Not much of a choice but captured pirates can t be choosy Governor Winters of Jamaica offers the notorious Captain Redd a choice On the morrow he can dance the hempen jig or he can earn a royal pardon Sounds like a no brainer but Redd has escaped capture this long knowing nothing is that easy That missing detail is a big one and the reason either side of justice s scales weigh heavily in favor of death immediate or death delayed After all the likelihood of surviving the latter option is less than nil But as the governor reminds Redd he is a pirate with a reputation of being quite resourceful when the need arises. Book raider free books Redd of course opts for a chance of obtaining that royal pardon as long as his crew is released too Not exactly what the governor wants but he is in a tight spot and Redd is the only person who has even an inkling of success Winters even provides a sloop for the pirates but as Redd knows only too well what chance does a sloop have when the pirate Redd is pursuing has a formidable galleon Pursue a fellow scoundrel Sounds simple but this is no ordinary pirate Captain Winston Trimble isn t known for niceties after all he flies the red flag no quarter given no mercy asked no matter whether the potential prize belongs to a merchant the navy or even a pirate Oh and did I forget to mention he now possesses King Solomon s signet ring the one that can summon the kraken from the depths of the sea Finding Trimble won t be easy He has a reputation for being quite elusive Luckily Winters has a solution to that problem Also caged within the prison is a young pirate whom Trimble marooned Being the governor though Winters cannot just release a condemned pirate Again that would make things too easy No Redd and his mates must snatch him as he s transferred from the gaol to the place of execution Oh and did I mention that if you re caught you and your mates will hang beside Andy Bonnet Intriguing twists to resolve unfathomable problems are spiced with black magic a pirate with unusual pets having healthy appetites and rabid cannibals Mosley also includes a pinch of horror just enough to whet readers appetites without grossing them out He deftly spins a tale that seems very real although there are two minor historical quibbles galleons as pirate ships and bicornes instead of tricornes for those familiar with Golden Age piracy Told in first person Pirate Raiders is a gripping swashbuckler that puts readers into Captain Redd s shoes as he confronts dastardly villains at every turn myriad roadblocks to hamper the journey and daring rescues that border on the impossible A rousing adventure not to be missed 188 Das Buch gab mir zwar Fluch der Karibik Vibes aber war im Endeffekt sehr langweilig Ich w rde das Buch pers nlich nicht empfehlen 188 Starting the month of reading with a rollicking high sea adventure What an excellent idea I didn t know Severed Press even did those so it was a lovely surprise Pirate Raiders delivers on the promise of its title and then some Pirates check adventure check action check sea monster check mystical object worthy of a quest like pursuit check an evil pirate sustained by black magic check a lady pirate check plus all the bottles of rum you can drink And so because there aren t nearly enough Pirates of the Caribbean movies out there there s this tale of a surprisingly decent and nice yeah like a super nice guy pirate named William Redd Reeves who gets nabbed and then given a choice of hanging or setting off on a mission to apprehend the legendary evil pirate named Trimble and retrieve King Solomon s ring that he has been using to control and of course release the kraken Yeah we re taking tentacles a very large set of tentacles So Redd reassembles his winning team picks up a damsel distressed by recent marooning by Trimble himself and off they go cruising the high seas on a mission If you re not hooked in by any of this well then you re just a hopeless landlubber and foe of all fun Because this book is in fact tons of fun a well spun rum soaked yarn with plenty of action and surprises In fact definitely one of the best Severed Press books I ve read top three easily It goes by quickly it s entertaining it s exciting It s ARRRGuably just as good as any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies Because you know with the pirates yes you can sail the seven seas with the pirates you can put your mind at ease and all that So yeah I enjoyed it very much Even the cover is awesome Rated ARRRGH for rip roaring scallywagging good time Recommended 188 Pirate stories are not my particular preference but I had a good time with this It wasn t long winded or overly detailed and was much easier to follow than other similar stories that I ve come across And the quality of the writing was top notch too Smooth and clear Captain Redd is a great lead with his ragtag band of misfits going on a high stakes high seas adventure There were a few core parts of this experience that stuck out to me First I thought the pacing was off A strong majority of the book was lead up to the eventual confrontation with Redd and Trimble For a book under 200 pages it was a bit too much which then resulted in a rushed finale Second for all the hype about the ring that Trimble possessed I really felt underwhelmed by the use of it especially during the final battle The kraken was fun but I really was hoping to see some much fantastical aspects introduced to the story And third I really felt like the ending just dropped off Much like big clash it was over well before I could really be immersed in it leaving me with a lot of questions that weren t answered A valiant effort by a clearly talented writer it had a few areas that could have been improved upon but still yielded a great deal of positive qualities 188 Ich liebe Fluch der Karibik und so hatte ich genau dieses Feeling bei dem Buch Die erste H lfte war wirklich stark die zweite etwas schw cher Der Krake kommt leider nu ganz kurz und da hat mir einfach etwas die Action gefehlt the Royal Navy and of course the kraken too if he is going to defeat Captain Trimble The Pirate RaidersC.
