And a captivating husband who blows scorching hot and suspiciously cold All is not as it seems and isn t that delicious Mistress of MerrivaleRomance and IntrigueThe overall plot kept my interest The book s hard to put down till you reached the end I really liked the H and h character development as well as their romance story What made me hold back a star in the rating was how easily the H accepted his cousin s courtesan or a courtesan to be made his wife without first having second thoughts about it The time frame historically I guess would be quite discomfiting for both of them to be at ease with that circumstance I m not much into spoilers.
I liked the main characters when they weren t second guessing each other based on the words of people basically known to be untrustworthy The mystery element was somewhat predictable to me Okay book but I liked some of her other books far 314 A historical romance that is worth the read It has a nice storyline and plot It is well written and has well described characters It has drama danger and suspence Jocelyn and Leo are likeable characters that develops through the story.
