Real ones I don t think you ll be disappointed with this one Rachel Walter I received this book in exchange for an honest reviewI am still reeling from this powerful novel that dealt with some heavy issues The heaviest being parental alienation Parental alienation is defined as a form of emotional child abuse where one parent vilifies or belittles the other parent to the child to plant a seed of distrust or hatred toward the parent Its intent is to destroy the present and future relationship between the child and the alienated parent. Pocketbook cloud This book opened me up two very different worlds of two best friends.

Pucked book

I read this book as part of a challenge for Quirky Blind Date with a Book This is my first book by Rachel Walter and my first YA book in a while I forget how much I love them Audrey and Riley are best friends The book takes us on an emotional journey over a couple years of their life. Puckerbutt pepper company there were a couple times where my heart was racing and my breaths were short I loved watching their relationship evolve over the years There is a HEA but I want about Riley and Audrey This was my first book by Rachel but it won t be my last Rachel Walter 3. Puckerbutt pepper company 5At first I thought this book is kind of cheesy But the I read the I become obsessed with the story There are so many things going on in this one book and I feel like I just went through a long journey My heart was squeezing when I was reading Riley s story This book is a Love story but it s not only about boy and girl story went through Sue Rachel Walter The cover was cute The title was cute The blurb was vague but not off putting A spotty timeline and the fact that there was a POV character with no purpose other than building up the male love interest No thanks Giving a character one defining characteristic trait hobby isn t enough You have to give them a personality as well as some sort of goal Rachel Walter I received an ARC of this book. Pucked contemporary art Even though this book is a YA I thoroughly enjoyed reading it It is well written and very much relatable I recommend reading this book Rachel Walter I was totally entwined in this story the love between two teens who are best friends is just the kind of story I can get involved in I absolutely loved the angst and stresses that they go through Throw in a bit of drama and an abusive parent and I m on the edge of my seat loving every word and breathing every emotion I was hurting for the characters and reading faster and faster to find out how it ends The writing was great very intensive and exactly how you could envision the events that happen. Picked up meaning I loved Riley and Audrey and Riley s little sister Hannah is adorable Riley is so strong for a sixteen eighteen year old He deals with his life by blocking his feelings out He is under the assumption that love leads to pain and so he will not love anyone Audrey is his grounding influence they ve been best friends their whole lives Neither is prepared to spoil their friendship by declaring their feelings I feel that I know these characters really well now as this story is so well written and detailed that you can t help but fall in love with them and their own coping mechanisms. Puckered lips 5 starsThis has been heart breaking mind blowing tear inducing soul searching chest pounding story where winter meets spring creating a spectacular autumn that two bruised hearts call home Aubrey Jacob is fire spring a blooming dandelion in the mud Yes mud. EBook pucked Because Aubrey girl loves mud and muddin and that s something that make her unique Riley Silk is ice winter a frost that intensifies the ice surrounding his heart Because Riley has been through a lot in the homefront to him love is cruel and cold and chilled Together they are autumn Together they are fire and ice controlled Together they are unbreakable I loved everything about this book the tears the fights the anxiety attacks the milkshakes the mud the ice and most specially the one armed one legged booty shaking dance. Puckerbutt pepper company I love Pucked Rachel Walter Audrey Jacobs is a good girl who is secretly in love with her best friend Riley although she doesn t want to ruin their friendship so she keeps quiet Riley Silk is the captain of the Warrior s Ice Hockey team for their High School and Audrey s best friend He is sure of two things hockey is his way out from a bad home life and love only hurts people As Riley and Audrey get older the friendship line blurs and That s all I m saying but know this that the above is just the very tip of the iceberg as this emotional story is beautiful Usually I don t read a lot of the young adult books but I m so glad I did with this one Rachel Walter proved herself to a have a very talented writing style as I was captivated from beginning to end and I couldn t put it down The emotional angst tried to bring me to my knees as she wrote about real issues that had my heart hurting but she did with with grace so came off even poignant to me A few twists had me dropping the loud f bombs I m still an adult that cusses like a sailor from time to time as they came out of left field Riley with all of his issues from his home life had me physically feeling his pain and although he tried than once to freeze everyone out I still felt for him There was some well placed humor that had me laughing giving me a break from the heavy emotions which I loved All I can end with is saying that all should give this beautiful and realistic story a read as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL Rachel Walter I believe my favorite quote of this whole book would have to be Life is like the weather Rain like our emotions builds up along the streets of our hearts softening the earth of our souls creating mud Though messy mud is the glue of our decisions It cements our personal changes Its not permanent because when it rains again you ll need to restructure rebuild change and just our decisions in life nothing lasts forever. Pdf picker flutter How Rachel hit that on the nose I have no idea To me this paragraph sets up for the whole book because just like the weather our character s emotions are everywhere and while at times calm there is always a boiling rain building up until released and it rains down on them This book is so much than just another YA novel It hits on such a horrible part of most divorced kids lives Reading it makes you want to grab the parents and just shake them WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO YOUR CHILDREN Why hurt them in such a way Abuse whether physical or mental is never ok Yelling and screaming hurtful words is just as much abuse as slapping kicking and punching. EPub pucked helena I found myself wrapped up in a world that I wanted out of but couldn t get enough of at the same time And truthfully that s never happened to me before This book hits so many emotions that its like a roller coaster but an amazingcrazy painful scary one. Pucked series Riley or the Frozen Silk has a life that no teenager should have Heck that no child should have for that matter His mother is of the child Riley had to grow up fast when he s dad left to take care of not only himself but his little sister Hannah Riley is the type of guy that you want to take home to mom and dad He is the perfect gentleman and while he tends to scare people away and he tends to check out he brings so much to the story. Pdf picker flutter I felt his pain his longing for a love he thinks he doesn t deserve While he feels EVERYTHING for Audrey he feels like he can t tell her until after graduation until after he leaves and the things in his life that could hurt her. Pucked helena hunting Audrey just wants to be with Riley and if that means all she can be is his friend then she will take it No one though could ever hold the place in her heart that Riley does He is it for her Her winter And while Riley helps hold her mask in place she unthaws him She s his spring and together they are autumn I can t express how much I loved this book The way that we connect with each character even those who are secondary takes us on this journey with them I found myself laughing and crying and wanting to scream back to laughing I grew frustrated at times with Riley and how he would rather Audrey be with someone else instead of telling her how he truly feels for her And after kissing her at that Yeah I was pissed off at him But in the end things happened like they ended to Both Riley and Audrey needed to find themselves before they could be any Audrey needed to know that Riley wouldn t always shut her out and Riley needed to learn that love isn t what hurts you its the people And when we ended with the happy ever after yeah my heart warmed Rachel Walter Full Review on The Blogwww. Pocket option com blogLet me start by saying I hate sports I don t get them and don t follow them That said I loved this YA sports romance This book made me want to be a hockey fan I mean sports still bore me but Rachel Walter made me feel like maybe I m missing out on something. Epub packer This is a sweet YA romance that takes place over a long period of time and is full of emotional turmoil and not just the usual teen problems Audrey and Riley The story start out when they are sixteen and Riley is the captain of their high school hockey team Audrey is a tomboy who loves muddin and hates dresses I was instantly drawn to both of these characters who are genuinely good people They have been best friends for a long time and both have much stronger feelings for the other Audrey has big brothers and a wonderful mom and dad Her childhood was full of love and support Riley has a six year old sister that he takes care of since his father left them when he was eleven After his father left his mother started drinking heavily and using substances neglecting Riley and his sister Riley has had to live the life of an adult at such a young age and witness horrific things form his mother and her abusive boyfriend. Puckpunyal The story was told in alternating POV s Aud and Riley s which I am a HUGE fan of It was so emotional for me reading Riley s chapters He was living in a devastating situation while trying to juggle school hockey and his feelings for Audrey Audrey is an amazingly supportive friend to him even when he shuts her out She is always there for him and waits patiently for him to take their friendship to the next level. Puck editor I really don t want to give away any major events in the book but I will say that after the halfway mark a few things happened that I did NOT see coming I am so impressed with Rachel s writing style And how she portrayed this beautifully devastating story If you are a fan of friends to lovers YA coming of age or highly emotional books this one is for you The epilogue a lot of tears I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read this very special book www.carolineandrus.meetmybookboyfriend.wordpress.com Rachel Walter
