Fiction saving an angel from drowning Having recently read and reviewed the previous novel in this series I was eager for this installment Charley Edwards definitely appealed to me as a strong female character in Prayer for a Sinner In this book I would have liked her to be a little less perfect less beautiful but fictional characters are just that I enjoyed meeting new characters in this novel especially Gerard and Lilly As a lover of mystery and suspense I found myself wishing there was a little less sex as it seemed to crop up constantly was definitely slanted from the male point of view and went on for ever adding little to the movement of the story I also would have liked to really hate the villains by seeing them up close and personal As it was I felt that the heroine was not too different from them Having said that I will definitely go back and read the first installment which I have not read Regardless of its flaws there is something compelling about this series I think adult readers who like erotica mixed with crime stories will love it Contemporary Crime Fiction My least favourite of the Saving Grace books as the emotion of the previous instalments was missing As with the others it is a police procedural type plot set on and off yachts and in exotic tropical locations It could be read as a standalone as the bones of what happened in the previous books is weaved comfortably into the story This time Charlie who seems to be able to do everything better than every man she comes across champions some young girls sold into a sex trafficking ring Charlie s sex interest is a younger male friend a policeman who helps her investigate the case although she doesn t need a lot of help His age is mentioned several times as if it is extraordinary for a female to have a male lover 7 years her junior although this is not a romance rather it s wham bam thank you Sir type scenario. Kindle saving an angel of death As with the other books in the series the sex and violence are very graphic in nature and lacking in emotion Killings are carried out with seemingly the same concern she has for making tea I m a great fan of erotic romance even erotica but this didn t float my boat excuse the pun indeed in places there were definite ick moments. Saving an angelyne show 5Saving an Angle book 3 in the Saving Grace seriesBy Robin PeacockA fast paced story with plenty of action to keep any liberal adult reader turning the pages This reviewer has not read the first two episodes of the Saving Grace series but will make the effort to do so This reviewer found the character of Charlie to be quite interesting but somewhat disturbing in her swings from caring and compassionate to calculating and revengeful As far a rating this book it has been given considerable thought by this reviewer As one cannot give a half star rating using any of the star systems I am going to add the half star here in the text After completing this story the conclusion left this reviewer in a quandary Without giving away any part of the story this reader feels that Mr Peacock s choice for an ending totally changed the reviewers mental image of Charlie and caused the lower rating that originally projected. Saving an angel stiftung This review was done as part of a review group on Goodreads None of the reviewers or authors receive a reciprocal review by an author that they review As a reviewer I did receive a file of the manuscript to use for the review Contemporary Crime Fiction For me this was far the best in the series The action starts on the first page and keeps going More please Contemporary Crime Fiction Although this is the third book in the Saving Grace series I felt it did a good job of being a stand alone novel that anyone could dip in to. Saving an angel contemporary music Saving an Angel tells the story of Charlie who rescues a woman from the sea and on hearing what happened to her sets out to get revenge on the people who dumped her in the water As an opening it s very strong with Charlie battling the elements and the scene being set without much padding Much like the rest of the book the best scenes take place aboard the Saving Grace Charlie s boat and it feels like this was where the author had the most fun as well who must clearly be knowledgeable on boating based on the description in those chapters. Saving an angelnn Charlie s character is a fantastic female role model and she takes center stage for the entire story reminding me of the heroines in Sidney Sheldon s novels She s strong clever and never one to stay away from trouble Sadly this strength comes at a cost and I never once felt like Charlie was in any danger for the duration of the story Even when she faced troubles they were generally resolved within a few pages with a couple of punches The same is true for the supporting characters as well. Saved by an angel book Likewise the main story her attempt to take down a sex trafficking ring is established well and I liked how the author chose to also look at how Charlie and the police took down those who frequented the sex parties they organised However this too seemed almost too easy especially for a global operation and given that Charlie kicks the hornets nest early in the book by not very subtly meeting with members of the organisation and revealing her true intent it s surprising jut how easily they bring everyone to justice. Saving an angelzz You could argue that the sex trafficking story is really just the backdrop to her romance with Gerard which is told through several explicit sex scenes but when you add up the pages for those scenes they take up around 10 15% of the content Equally the book stands alone even if you ignore those sections if they aren t your cup of tea. EBook Saving an angela The story has a strong ending with echoes of Dexter which one character even points out and a satisfying pay off Whilst you may not fear for Charlie ultimately it s her character that makes the story enjoyable and worth a look if you want an easy read with romance and a touch of vengeance Contemporary Crime Fiction
