Scorpion blu ray collector's edition forum Cocky and full of himself a little rough around the edges his charm isn t lost on Love Ferrier the Government tracker Witch who is sent with Scorpion and a team of bodyguards into the wastelands to search for Sidney Love is there to also provide a magical barrier from the harsh side effects the wastelands Initially Love comes across as an uptight snarky spoilt brat and that chill is definitely in Scorpions direction but as the story progresses and Love grudgingly gets used to Scorpion you get to learn that whilst he is privileged his upbringing hasn t all been a bed of roses I won t say too much but I can understand the initial frostiness of Love portrayed as a uppity socially elitist brat when this was really a deflective shield to protect from future hurt and disappointment guilt his fragile mind held behind a wall of thorns Although Sidneys I like sex Statement is rather out of the blue and made my eyebrows raise Butwell he doesn t come across as the most rational cool cucumber you d meet More like a smexy mad scientist without the crazy hair Other things are happening not just the search for Sidney Gunn the Prime ministers missing kid While approaching the wastelands Scorpion questions a near by town to see if he can undercover any clues as to where the boy is and why he has gone missing The town s people speak of other residents that have also disappeared and the tale of a spooky dark man that shows up at the same time Could he also be responsible for Sidney s disappearance The bodyguards that come along well they are side characters that I didn t really pay much attention to tbh. PDF Scorpion bluestacks 5 Or rather the dialogue was read but I can t say it was memorable I know one of the guards had an annoying crush on Love that reared its jealous head and I felt like he needed to back off biatch It s a m m romance between a cocky bounty hunter and a snarky snipey witch tracker It s a hunt for a lost boy A surprise find of a criminal drug producer and a crazy witch The reader is lead on the hunt for Sidney across the magical wastelands where the sun never sets and the plant life is poisonous and the local wasteling residents are also deadly things from your nightmares I pictured them like giant cockroaches with black shells like those giant bugs from the movie Mimic The general feel of the story is that it s set in the future But there is also a western feel to the story Maybe because the guards and Scorpion carry guns in holsters and ride out on horses Technology doesn t appear to be mentioned Although items are magically spelled to work in the wastelandsI dunno why that speaks to me of technological advancement I guess I just equate modern times and magic to mean technological advancement as well Anyway I thought this book deserved a review and four stars One because the story kept me reading all through the night two because I really couldn t believe the slim pickings of reviews Three because it s worth a read well I m just confused that I found the book worth four stars and there s hardly no reviews Weird Boggled my mind that did Rachel White Solid 4. PDF Scorpion blues clues 5 I absolutely loved it I m on a less than three press binge and this one is definitely in my top favs It had a really beautiful amount of worldbuilding lore just enough to make me want but get a clear sense of what it was like in their. Book Scorpion bluestone 5 stars Rachel White Wow I enjoyed this one so much It s an adventure novel in a fantasy Old West setting with a good amount of romance and character development woven skillfully with action and magic The main characters spend most of the novel alone together Getting to know each other is a slow and emotional process in a miserable environment but the pacing is excellent and the story never dragged even when the characters were sharing their dark pasts with each other I really empathized with Love and Scorpion both and was glad that they found each other They were also both likable to me I m not usually a big fan of constant bickering in romance novels but it worked well here The plot was very good and I really didn t know how it was going to be resolved until near the end I didn t know whether they would find the missing man alive or not Love s inner struggles were also an important part of the story and I felt that the author handled a few sensitive subjects deftly.
